Duration & Time of implantation

Number of visits depending on your dental status or dental treatment what you might need before implantation. Please see the typical treatments and timing below.


One day or immediate implant

If your bone density was above the average, we could complete the entire implantation and you could have new teeth in a week.

Please be aware most of the people have average or below the average jaw bone density and availability, so the entire treatment generally takes longer then a week. In this case, see the cases below.


Implantation, no extraction and no bone graft

Trip 1:

You should stay only two weekdays. We make a status assessment, and implantation and you would get partial temporary solution. The implant needs to be integrated (osseointegration) with the bone which takes 4-6 months.

If your jaw bone density is good enough we can complete the entire work in 5 weekdays and you would need only 1 trip. We can assess your bone density during your status assessment.

Trip 2, 4-6 months later

You should stay 5 weekdays. We place the final crowns or bridgework to the implants.

Extraction and implantation, no bone graft

If you needed tooth extraction, you would need 3 trips.

Trip 1

You should stay only two weekdays. We make the extraction. We have to wait for 2-3 months, because new bone should be formulated at the place of the extraction, where we would place the implant.

Trip 2, 2-3 months later

You should stay only two weekdays. We make the implantation. The implant needs to be integrated (osseointegration) with the bone which takes 4-6 months.

Trip 3, 4-6 months later

You should stay 5 weekdays. We place the final crowns or bridgework to the implants.

Bone graft or sinus lift and implantation

If you did not have sufficient bone, you would need bone grafting before implantation.

Trip 1

You should stay only two weekdays. We make the bone grafting.
We have to wait 6 month until the new bone become suitable for implantation.

If you got non self absorbing membrane, than two or three months after bone grafting you might need to visit us to remove the membrane what we placed during the bone grafting.

If you got non self absorbing stitches, you should visit us or a dentist, doctor or nurse to remove the stitches 2 or 3 weeks after bone grafting. It takes a weekday.

Trip 2, 6 months later

You should stay only two weekdays. We make the implantation.
The implant needs to be integrated (osseointegration) with the bone which can take 4-6 months.

Trip 3, 4-6 months later

You should stay 5 weekdays. We place the final crowns or bridgework to the implants.

Schedule for implantation

After the bone replacement or implantation your face may bunk and can have pain up to 10 days. You can foment it and take pain killer to reduce the symptoms.

If every day appearance is very important for you (e.g. if you are sales man, public speaker, etc.) you should schedule your bone replacement and implantation by taking this 10 days period into account.
