Anaesthesia(sedation, general anaesthesia, intravenous anaesthesia, sleep dentistry)

Anaesthesia makes loss the entire or part of the body sensation with or without affecting your consciousness in order to eliminate pain.
If you were
anxious, we could offer you general anaesthesia. After general anaesthesia you will
not have
post fear and
anxiety, you will not remember the treatment, sounds and smells.
We are
fully equipped for general anaesthesia. We have
long term
experience with dental treatments under general anaesthesia. This is an
every day practice at our clinic with Anaesthesiologist specialist who makes general anaesthesia every day at our Cosmetic Surgery Clinic.

We have
many years of experience in treating people, who are very anxious. People most amazed by sedation dentistry are who have:
- dental phobia
- are very anxious, nervous
- extended and complex dental treatments, as it helps reduce fatigue
- had previous traumatic experiences
- difficulty getting numb
- very sensitive teeth
Our anaesthesiologist will carefully monitor you throughout the procedure of sedation to ensure your safety. He will monitor your blood pressure, pulse, oxygen levels in your blood and your heart. This is a standard, and considered a must at our clinic.
Please be aware the general anaesthesia can take
maximum two and a half hours and you can have only
one general anaesthesia
during a week. If your treatment took longer than 2,5 hours, we would split up your treatment into several phases. We would start with the painless part and when we arrive the painful part of your treatment we would continue under general anaesthesia. Next day we would provide pain killers and relaxations pills to eliminate any stress or pain.
Before and
after general anaesthesia a
careful procedure have to be carried through which is as follows:

1. Before we would schedule you for general anaesthesia we should know whether do you take any medication/medicine or have any illness, because at certain medication and illness general anaesthesia is not recommended.
2. One or two days before the general anaesthesia, we make a general health test (blood, heart and urinary analysis).
3. Have only a light dinner previous day of the examination or general anaesthesia.
4. Do not eat or drink at all 6 hours before the general anaesthesia and before the general health examination as well.
5. You can have only a light breakfast (no muesli, no fruit or vegetable, no meat) right after the examination if the general anaesthesia starts the earliest 6 hours after the light breakfast.
6. Bring light clothes and slippers what you can wear during the treatment and sleep in the night.
7. After anaesthesia: you should have a rest until next morning and next day. Do not drive car or make any activities, which requires attention or may harm you and others until next morning. We have a rest room and a special hotel room to stay after general anaesthesia. If your general anaesthesia is carried through late afternoon or in the evening you should stay during the night in our special hotel room at our clinic.
Let us know if you are interested in general anaesthesia.
